Where we rely on legitimate interests, our interests are responding to business enquiries, operating and securing our website, and developing relationships with prospective institutional and professional investors and partners. We have considered these interests against your rights and expectations, and you may object at any time (see “Your rights”).
4. Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers acting on our behalf (such as hosting, email, KYC and professional advisers), with other BridgingFi group companies where needed to deal with your enquiry, and where required by law or by a regulator. We do not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
Some service providers or group companies may be located outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we will ensure that the transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as transfers to a country covered by UK adequacy regulations, or the use of the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can contact us for more information about the safeguards that apply.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact with you. Onboarding records: as required by anti-money-laundering law, normally at least five years after the business relationship ends. Server logs: for a limited period for security purposes. We then delete or anonymise the data.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and please do not send sensitive information by unencrypted email.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in UK data protection law, you have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal data; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact contact@bridging.fi.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
